Jessica Radunzel
For District 4 City Council

The Issues
I understand the importance of having local leadership that is deeply rooted in the community.
I will make sure everyone has a seat at the table and that real, practical solutions are brought forward.

Small Business and Job Growth
Small businesses are vital to our city’s growth, and as a business owner, I understand how challenging it can be from both the successes and the hiccups I’ve experienced. I want to make the city welcoming for others to start and run their businesses so that jobs are created and our city continues to grow.

Quality of Life
I will prioritize quality of life issues. I want to make sure that every corner of the district feels clean, safe, and welcoming. This means attention to trash, lighting, and other critical city services.

Affordable Housing
I want to make it easier to build affordable housing, to work in close collaboration with state and federal agencies to fund affordable housing, and make sure we’re holding landlords accountable for keeping existing affordable housing clean and safe for residents.

Transportation and Streets
Transportation is about more than just fixing streets. I want to make it easier for everyone to get around, by reviewing on-street parking policies, repainting crosswalks and repairing sidewalks, cleaning up bus stops, and making it easier to navigate the bus system.

Open and Transparent Government
I will ensure that city dollars are used well to address the issues people in Green Bay really care about. This isn’t about slashing budgets, it’s about tracking every dollar and making sure those dollars are going to the programs and projects that are most needed and have the greatest impact.

Collaborative Representation
I will put your interests first.
I don’t care about your background or political affiliation. I want to hear from you and work with you.
About Jessica
I grew up in Wisconsin and have called Green Bay home for more than seven years. Before moving here, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and went on to live in Mexico, Houston, Washington D.C., Maryland, and eventually landed in Green Bay.
I immediately fell in love with Green Bay — I’ve travelled all around the world, but no other place felt immediately like home. In Green Bay I met my partner Recordo, became a mom, a bonus mom, and jumped into helping run our small business.
I love my life in Green Bay, but it hasn’t always been easy. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes at a very young age and have spent the past 30 years managing the illness as well as learning and understanding our ever-changing healthcare system. I also spent the first month of my son‘s life in the NICU followed by a weeklong stay in the PICU a year later when he was diagnosed with having epileptic febrile seizures.
Throughout these years I have been faced with challenges navigating our healthcare care system, the financial adversities that come with finding housing for a family of five, and trying to run a small business, all while the cost of living – and doing business – continue to rise.
Why I’m running
I love this city, but I know that it can be tough to get by. In order for families and businesses to thrive we need a Green Bay that works – for everyone.
I want to bring my lived experience to this district to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table and that real, practical solutions are brought forward on behalf of the people living in D4.
Governing isn’t an academic exercise, it’s a real commitment to listening, collaborating, and problem-solving for and with the people you represent.
I am ready and excited to serve as your Alderperson and to make sure Green Bay works for you.
